As a Data Engineer As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and evolve the data platform that powers Bigbank's business decisions. You will work closely with analytics, product, engineering, and business teams to ensure that reliable, high-quality data is available when and where it is needed. This role combines software engineering, data architecture, cloud technologies, and platform thinking to create scalable solutions that support our growth across multiple markets. How You Will Create Value You will: Build reliable data products and pipelines that support critical business decisions across eight markets Design scalable data models and warehouse architectures that make data easier to access, understand, and trust Develop modern ETL/ELT solutions that automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency Enable real-time insights by building streaming and event-driven data solutions Improve the resilience, performance, and scalability of our data platform through modern cloud technologies Apply engineering best practices such as CI/CD, testing, automation, and version-controlled development Partner with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to solve complex data challenges Help shape the future data architecture of a growing international bank Why this role is exciting Opportunity to build rather than maintain Modern cloud and data technologies Real impact on products used by hundreds of thousands of customers Freedom to influence architecture and engineering practices International environment across nine markets Collaborative engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement Opportunity to help shape the future of everyday banking What We Hope You'll Bring Must have Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL Proven experience designing and building robust, production-ready data pipelines Hands-on experience working with relational databases Comfortable using Git and following modern software development practices Strong knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling principles, with the ability to apply them effectively to real-world scenarios Nice to have Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP Familiarity with modern data solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse Experience with Kafka or other real-time streaming technologies Knowledge of containerization tools, including Docker and Kubernetes [email protected] —Need more information?
