The key requirement for this role is strong Python development experience . If you’re a confident Python developer who enjoys working on complex technical challenges, this could be an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering and cutting-edge research. Experience with Linux and High-Performance Computing (HPC) would be highly desirable, but isn't essential. πŸ”§ What will you be doing? You'll work closely with researchers, academics and technical teams, helping them develop, optimise and support software used across a range of research disciplines. Your responsibilities will include: 🐍 Developing and supporting software primarily using Python πŸ’» Working within Linux-based environments ⚑ Supporting and optimising workloads on HPC platforms πŸ”¬ Working directly with researchers to understand technical requirements πŸ› οΈ Providing coding support, technical guidance and troubleshooting πŸŽ“ Delivering technical training and coaching πŸ“š Creating technical documentation and development best practices 🀝 Collaborating with customers and internal technical teams πŸš€ Keeping up to date with developments across Python, RSE, Linux and HPC πŸ‘¨ πŸ’» What are we looking for?
