Senior Java Software Engineer

PE Global is recruiting for a Senior Java Software Developer on behalf of a global healthcare company in Dublin. This is an initial 12-month contract, fully remote role. As a Senior Java Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Working on the team’s software development efforts and interfacing with other teams to create world class software solutions for our customers Creating and coding new approaches to increase quality, efficiency, and resilience in existing and new software applications Implementing cloud-based enterprise software to data centers around the world using pipeline technologies Determining the best software design and architecture for projects Supporting our customers to achieve their goals using our software services Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university AND 5 years of Java/J2EE development OR High School Diploma/GED AND 9 years of Java/J2EE development AND In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: Experience in enterprise level, high volume, hosted applications in a cloud environment, preferably AWS Experience with using SQL and NoSQL databases in design, development, and implementation Experience using Kubernetes for deploying applications Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts and information on both user and technical level Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Healthcare industry experience and familiarity with common HL7 and X12 based transactions Experience with development tools such as IntelliJ, JIRA, Ansible, Jenkin and/or Git Experience with Kafka Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Ability to lead and provide guidance to others Interested candidates should submit an updated CV.
