Java Developer

Role: Full stack Java Developer Location: Ixelles, Belgium Duration: 5 months Languages: EN+FR/NL Work Mode: Hybrid Job Description: Purpose of the function: Develop, program, test and maintain the software applications and the assigned management software in order to obtain the most infallible computer applications possible that meet the needs and expectations of the business. Result Areas: Participate in the identification of user needs and perform a feasibility analysis in order to know the needs of users, assess their technical feasibility and allow easy programming of the application. Perform technical analysis and write documentation related to changes and developments of assigned applications to provide a useful basis for simplifying future changes to applications. Test the solutions designed within the department and make any changes to ensure that the solutions meet the quality standards set and the needs of the business. Monitor production developments and make changes as necessary, contribute to the realization and improvement of assigned applications to ensure a development process that is both easy and efficient. Control, analyze and resolve service requests and bugs related to assigned applications to ensure the most infallible operation of the applications. Acting as an advisor for technical support and functional issues concerning software applications and management software as well as the implementation of solutions for internal and external parties in order to provide support during the optimal use and development of the various applications. Responsibilities: Understands the client's demands and needs, and challenges them (what, why, who, when, where and how), and ensures to be critical, analytical and creative Understands the different concepts of database modeling and object-oriented Able to intervene on the entire technical backend chain and the technologies used Strong expertise in JAVA 8+ (Reactive Streams, performance, ...) and associated frameworks (Spring and Maven mainly) Good knowledge of the following components: Jenkins, JIRA, Git... Knowledge in the implementation of microservices and DB queries (Oracle, SQL and DB2) is an asset Documents the applications for which he/she is responsible (e.g. user manuals, processes,...) Participate in the team's Agile way-of-life (SCRUM Methodology) Develop and test Develop new features or bugfixes in JAVA following the patterns already used Test his/her achievements or those of a team member Support the Business in terms of Data Use Technical analysis and challenge business analysis- Respect for Ieteren IT's Governance and strategy - Knowledge/experience: Level of knowledge Master's, Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience Professional experience of at least 5 years Concrete experience in JAVA analysis and development (Spring and Reactive Streams preferred) Good knowledge of Git, Jenkins and JIRA Components - Good knowledge of DB (Oracle, SQL, DB2, …) Knowledge of using an IDE like IntelliJ or similar Good frontend experience in the latest versions of angular (react is a plus) Comfortable with the following concepts: ngrx, openid connect, html, css and typescript, SASS. Knowledge of Json Form is also an asset.
