Full Stack Developer - Java & Python 📍Location: Leuven, Belgium (hybrid; minimum 50% on site in Leuven or Ghent) đź“„ Contract type: Temporary, until end of 2027 + possible extension ❤️ USP: Build new customer use cases for a digital assistant and help make its AI-driven conversations smarter, more accurate, and more capable. Your Role You will join a Use Case team focused on expanding a digital assistant with new customer cases and functionality. As a technical specialist, you will design and develop conversations and related solutions that help the assistant support more features and services for customers. You will own code quality, update and expand the code base, and work on multiple initiatives at the same time. In close collaboration with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other team members, you will translate functional needs into technical designs and deliver robust solutions across the stack. The ideal profile brings strong ownership, technical depth, and a proactive mindset. You work well both independently and in a team, stay focused under pressure, and are comfortable balancing quality, speed, and several parallel priorities. Your Responsibilities Translate functional requirements into clear technical designs. Design and develop new and related use cases. Maintain, update, and expand the code base while keeping quality high. Leverage AI agents and agentic workflows to improve development efficiency. Integrate APIs and backend systems to support new functionality. Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other technical and non-technical stakeholders. Manage several parallel projects while staying focused on delivery and quality. What We Offer A temporary assignment in a growing digital assistant environment. Who You Are Must-haves Relevant working experience with Python. Strong knowledge of Java, preferably Spring. Experience with continuous integration and development principles, and Git. Solid understanding of cloud-native principles, including microservices and RESTful design. Experience with LLMs and generative AI, plus integrating APIs and backend systems. Strong communication skills in English. Nice-to-haves Experience with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or AWS. Experience in full stack development across front-end and back-end applications.
