Senior Software Engineer (SFCC, Spring Boot, Java, GCP)

Job Title: Sr Backend Commerce Engineer (SFCC, Spring Boot, Java, GCP) Location: USA – Remote Contract Job Summar yWe are looking for a Senior Backend Commerce Engineer to design, build, and support scalable commerce and customer-notification solutions across Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Spring Boot services, and Google Cloud Platform. This role owns delivery across notification events, product/catalog and order feed integrations, payment enhancements including Google Pay, and technical discovery for customer-engagement initiatives such as Emarsys, TurnTo, and ClientTale . Key Responsibilitie s:Design and develop backend solutions for ecommerce workflows across SFCC and microservice s.Build and maintain event-driven notification pipelines for order, return, and account journey s.Deliver and optimize product/catalog feed and order feed integration s.Implement payment enhancements, including payment type support like Apple Pay, Google Pa y.Lead technical discovery and feasibility assessments for Emarsys, TurnTo, and ClientTale initiative s.Define and govern API/event contracts, data mappings, and integration standards across system s.Partner with product and platform teams to improve delivery predictability, release quality, and customer impac t.Support production reliability through monitoring, issue triage, and continuous improvemen t. Required Qualificatio ns:Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud backend developme nt.Proficiency in JavaScript and Java with Spring Boot for backend/microservice developme nt.Practical experience with API integrations, event-driven architecture, and business-rule implementati on.Experience delivering and operating services on Google Cloud Platform (GC P).Strong understanding of release management, testing strategy, and production support practic es.Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external integration partne rs. Preferred Qualificati ons:Experience with customer engagement platforms such as Emarsys and Tur nTo.Experience integrating analytics/customer platforms such as ClientT ale.
