Full Stack Developer - Java 📍Location: Brussels area, Belgium (hybrid) 📄 Contract type: Temporary contract, 5 months + potential extension ❤️ USP: Hands-on full-stack role with real ownership across Java backend and modern Angular-based front-end delivery in a mobility environment. Your Role You will develop, test, and maintain business applications and software solutions that support core business needs. The role covers the full technical backend chain, while also contributing to front-end development as part of a senior full-stack team. You will work closely with business stakeholders and internal teams to understand requirements, challenge them when needed, assess feasibility, and translate them into robust technical solutions. The role also includes technical analysis, documentation, production follow-up, and support for incidents, bugs, and improvements in an Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal profile is analytical, autonomous, proactive, and rigorous, with a strong sense of ownership. You should be comfortable working across technical layers and bringing a practical, solution-oriented mindset to continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities Analyze user needs, challenge requirements, and assess technical feasibility. Develop, test, and maintain Java features, bug fixes, and assigned applications. Perform technical analysis and document changes, processes, and user-facing materials. Monitor production developments and implement adjustments where needed. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and bugs on assigned applications. Support business users and advise stakeholders on technical and functional questions. Contribute to Agile/Scrum delivery and the team’s way of working. What We Offer A 5-month full-time assignment in a hybrid working model + possible extension. A broad scope across backend Java and full-stack application delivery. Exposure to business-critical applications with visible impact on operations. Who You Are Must-haves Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in Java analysis and development. Strong expertise in Java 8+ and related frameworks, especially Spring and Maven; Reactive Streams preferred. Solid full-stack experience with recent Angular, plus HTML, CSS, TypeScript, SASS, ngrx, and OpenID Connect. Good working knowledge of Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and SQL databases such as Oracle and DB2. Fluent in French or Dutch, with professional English; oral French is an advantage in a French-speaking team. Nice-to-haves Experience with microservices implementation.
