Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our global client’s software engineering team and help build scalable, cloud-native, microservice-based systems for the tourism industry in Istanbul. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology , or a related engineering field 5 years of hands-on experience in developing multi-tier applications using Java Experience with Spring or similar modern Java frameworks Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture and integration experience with RESTful APIs Experience with AWS and Linux/Unix environments is a plus Experience with Docker, Kubernetes knowledge is a strong plus Experience with Kotlin or Go is a plus Experience with frontend technologies such as React is a plus Experience in designing and supporting relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL , including query optimization Experience with SaaS applications is a plus Strong communication skills in English , both written and verbal No restriction on international travel when required Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services using Java 21 and Quarkus Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs for service-to-service communication and external system integrations. Develop and maintain microservice-based architectures with a focus on scalability and performance. Develop cloud-native applications running on AWS Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments with Kubernetes Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, business and DevOps Participate in system design, technical discussions and architecture decisions Ensure code quality through best practices, clean code principles and reviews Support relational database design and performance optimization, mainly PostgreSQL Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and modern build & deployment processes
