Description

Java BPM Developer Location: Hybrid – Irving, TX Employment Type: Contract (W2 Only – No C2C) Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development. 3+ years of hands-on experience with jBPM , Drools , or Red Hat Process Automation Manager (RHPAM) . Strong understanding of BPMN 2.0 standards and workflow automation. Experience developing and managing business rules using Drools and DMN (Decision Model and Notation) . Proficiency with Spring Framework and Spring Boot . Experience developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services. Strong knowledge of enterprise application integration and relational databases. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement business process workflows using jBPM and BPMN 2.0 . Develop custom Work Item Handlers to integrate workflows with external applications, APIs, messaging systems, and databases. Create, maintain, and optimize business rules using Drools , including DRL files , Decision Tables , and DMN . Configure and manage human task workflows, task forms, assignments, escalations, and notifications. Package, deploy, and maintain process applications as KJARs on KIE Server . Integrate BPM solutions with enterprise applications using REST/SOAP services , databases, and messaging queues. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize running process instances, audit logs, and workflow performance. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable BPM solutions. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning to ensure reliable process execution. Support process versioning, migration, deployment, and production release activities. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, process designs, and implementation guides. Participate in code reviews and follow industry best practices for Java and BPM development. Preferred Skills Experience with Red Hat Process Automation Manager (RHPAM) or Red Hat Decision Manager (RHDM) . Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Knowledge of container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Maven is preferred.
