Role Description The Frontend Tester role at Yearnings Inc. is a full-time, remote position focused on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of web and application frontends. In this role, you will design, execute, and document test cases for user interfaces, including functional, regression, and cross-browser tests. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product stakeholders to identify defects, verify fixes, and improve overall user experience. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing requirements and designs, performing manual and automated UI tests, managing test data, and tracking issues through test management and defect tracking tools. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, help refine acceptance criteria, and participate in release readiness activities. Qualifications Strong foundation in software quality and software quality assurance, with experience applying quality standards to frontend applications. Proficiency in quality assurance and test management practices, including creating test plans, test cases, and maintaining test documentation. Demonstrated analytical skills for troubleshooting issues, interpreting test results, and identifying root causes of defects. Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and common frontend frameworks to understand UI behavior and potential failure points. Experience using test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) and, ideally, UI test automation tools. Detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple testing tasks and priorities in a remote environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Relevant education or equivalent experience in software testing, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
