Python Developer → AI Engineering Opportunity 🕒 Engagement: Contract to hire 🌟 About the Role We are looking for experienced Python Developers interested in working on next-generation AI-powered applications . This role offers the opportunity to build real-world systems using modern AI techniques and tooling. This is a build-first role . You won’t be creating slides about AI—you’ll be designing and shipping production-grade GenAI systems that will form the foundation of an advanced engineering program. 🔧What You’ll Be Building & Delivering Production-grade GenAI systems designed for real-world use and instructional value Hands-on, build-first learning experiences where engineers ship, evaluate, and defend their solutions Assessment frameworks and technical challenges that uphold a high, measurable engineering standard Collaborative workflows with programme and curriculum stakeholders to shape technical content Continuously updated AI systems and materials that remain relevant, practical, and version-ready Systems and exercises that explicitly highlight trade-offs, failure modes, and key engineering decisions Fully built solutions refined through iteration, review cycles, and dry runs Opportunities to extend your work into programme delivery as part of the founding faculty 🔧 What You’ll Be Working On Building AI-powered applications using leading LLM APIs Developing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems over real-world datasets Designing agent-based workflows with tool integration and orchestration Implementing evaluation, guardrails, and observability for AI systems Applying LLMOps practices including deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization Solving challenges around scalability, latency, and system reliability ✅ Requirements ✔️ 7+ years proficiency in Python , with experience building scalable applications ✔️ Strong understanding of web frameworks such as Django or Flask ✔️ Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases ✔️ Familiarity with Git and version control workflows ✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to debug, optimize, and improve code 💡 What We’re Looking For Engineers eager to apply their Python skills to be trained in and deliver AI-driven systems Strong software engineering fundamentals Interest in working at the intersection of AI, backend systems, and real-world deployment
