Junior Data Engineer Location: United States Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines and data infrastructure. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about data technologies and eager to build scalable solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Key Responsibilities Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. Support data integration from multiple sources into centralized data platforms. Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure data quality and reliability. Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and software engineers. Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation activities. Help maintain databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data environments. Develop and maintain technical documentation for data processes and systems. Support data governance, security, and compliance initiatives. Optimize data processing performance and system efficiency. Participate in data engineering projects and continuous improvement efforts. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, software development, database management, or a related technical role. Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with Python, Java, Scala, or similar programming languages. Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database concepts. Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Databricks. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies. Experience with Git and version control systems. Relevant certifications in cloud, database, or data technologies are a plus.
