Role: Computer Vision Engineer - Surgical Robotics Location: Boston, MA (Onsite 4 days per week) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $195,000 - $220,000 + annual bonus, comprehensive healthcare, 401(k), generous PTO and professional development support. About the Opportunity Our client is an established medical technology company developing next-generation intelligent surgical and medical imaging systems that improve patient outcomes across the world. It is essental that you possess 3+ years experience in image guided surgery /surgical robotics for this role. The Role As a Engineer, you will lead the design and development of advanced computer vision and machine learning solutions that enable intelligent image interpretation, object detection, tracking and scene understanding within safety-critical medical systems. You will be involved throughout the full product development lifecycle, from early-stage research and algorithm prototyping through to product verification and commercial deployment. Key Responsibilities Invovled in the architecture and development of computer vision and machine learning algorithms for medical imaging applications. Design, implement and optimise deep learning models for detection, segmentation, classification and tracking. Develop high-performance software using Python and C++. Work with large image and video datasets to train, validate and improve machine learning models. Collaborate with software, robotics, systems and hardware engineers to integrate algorithms into commercial products. Improve model accuracy, robustness and real-time performance on embedded and high-performance computing platforms. Support algorithm verification, validation and documentation within a regulated development environment. Required Experience Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics or a related discipline. It is essental that you possess 3+ years in image guided surgery /surgical robotics experience for this Strong software engineering skills in Python and C++. Experience with modern deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Strong understanding of computer vision techniques including: Object Detection Experience developing and deploying production-quality machine learning models.
