Description
Company Description Nuvems is an AI-native, forward-deployed engineering firm that partners closely with clients to design, build, and operate AI solutions on Helmet AI, its proprietary AI operating platform. The team combines artificial intelligence, data analytics, software engineering, and business-process expertise to deliver systems that drive measurable impact across insurance, healthcare, financial services, and the public sector. On this foundation, Nuvems engineers build custom workflows, automate document-heavy operations, and deploy AI agents that streamline back-office execution and decision-making. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer. The engineer will design, implement, and optimize AI models and workflows to solve complex, data-intensive problems for clients across multiple industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and training machine learning and neural network models, developing NLP pipelines for unstructured text, and integrating AI capabilities into production-grade software systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business processes, translating requirements into technical solutions, and iterating on models based on performance metrics and user feedback. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, maintain high-quality documentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the AI platform and tools. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and production-grade coding practices. Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition techniques for building and optimizing machine learning models. Proficiency in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for processing and understanding large volumes of unstructured text data. Experience with modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python). Understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and APIs for deploying and scaling AI solutions in real-world environments. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in domains such as insurance, healthcare, financial services, or public sector operations is a plus.
