Senior Research Engineer

IPVM is a research organization that investigates physical security technologies, companies, and markets. Our reports influence purchasing decisions, industry practices, and public policy. IPVM has also been profiled by The Atlantic, Time, and Wired. You will work alongside a highly capable team of researchers, engineers, and investigative reporters. We are seeking candidates who want to build a long-term career in research while gaining the compensation, resources, and real-world impact of working in the private technology sector. This is primarily an on-site position at IPVM’s research facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The role requires a minimum of three days per week on-site, with limited hybrid flexibility available depending on the candidate and the needs of the position. Strong candidates typically have: A STEM degree from a rigorous academic program Military technical, intelligence, or operational experience Strong analytical, writing, and investigative skills Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge assumptions Experience in physical security is helpful but not required.
