Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team and work on modern, high-performance backend systems powering AI-driven and data-intensive platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing APIs from the ground up, working with async architectures, and integrating Large Language Models into real-world products. You’ll collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to build scalable services, real-time APIs, and intelligent automation components used across multiple platforms and markets. What you’ll do: Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python 3.10+ and async programming patterns. Develop and optimize HTTP APIs using FastAPI (or similar async frameworks), including REST and Server-Sent Events (SSE). Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT). Integrate LLM-powered features using APIs such as OpenAI, including prompt optimization and experimentation. Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and queries with a focus on performance and scalability. Build containerized services using Docker and deploy them in Kubernetes environments. Contribute to event-driven architectures and streaming workflows (Kafka or similar). Write high-quality unit and integration tests using pytest. Collaborate through Git-based workflows, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions. Required qualifications: Strong experience with Python (3.10+), including async/await and asyncio. Deep hands-on experience with FastAPI or another async web framework. Proven experience building and consuming RESTful and streaming APIs (SSE). Solid understanding of API security (OAuth2, JWT). Practical experience integrating LLMs (e.g. OpenAI API) into production systems. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization. Familiarity with Kafka or event-driven communication patterns. Experience using pytest for automated testing. Comfortable working with Git branching strategies in collaborative teams. Good English communication skills (written and spoken). Nice to have: Experience with horizontal scaling, session management, and sticky sessions. Ability to design APIs and database schemas from scratch. Understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines. Hands-on experience with LangChain or similar LLM orchestration frameworks. Familiarity with Grafana or other monitoring/observability tools. Knowledge of SSE vs WebSocket trade-offs and performance tuning. Basic understanding of NLP concepts, embeddings, or text classification models.
