Junior UI Developer

Alpine Business Consulting works with finance teams to repair systems that have failed to meet expectations. Many organizations invest heavily in enterprise performance management tools only to find that poor implementation leaves them with unreliable numbers. We specialize in fixing these configurations and ensuring that data flows correctly into a single source of truth. Currently, we are supporting a partner, a Hamburg-based logistics and distribution group, to rebuild their reporting interfaces. This project aims to replace manual spreadsheets with a reliable dashboarding system that the finance team can trust every morning. About the role As a Junior UI Developer, you will help build the visual layer of our client reporting systems. This is an entry-level position where you will work closely with senior consultants to turn complex financial data into clean, functional interfaces. Most of our work involves customizing the web-based views within enterprise platforms or building custom dashboards that pull from large data sets. The goal is always clarity and usability. You do not need years of experience, but you should have a solid understanding of how to build and style web pages that are easy for non-technical users to navigate. This is a full-time, permanent position and is entirely remote. What you will do Develop and refine user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to improve the user experience for finance teams. Assist senior developers in connecting front-end components to back-end data sources through existing APIs. Collaborate with consultants to document technical requirements and interface designs for the handover process. Debug interface issues and browser compatibility problems to ensure a consistent experience for all users. Help maintain a library of UI components and style guides to ensure a uniform feel across different reporting modules. Test new features in the reporting system to ensure they align with the original design specifications. Provide clear documentation that explains how to update and manage the UI after our engagement ends. What we need from you A basic understanding of front-end development including HTML5 and CSS3. Familiarity with JavaScript and an interest in how it can be used to manipulate and display data. Confidence in creating layouts that are functional and accessible for corporate users. Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to matching technical builds to design mockups. Ability to communicate technical concepts to colleagues who may not have a coding background. An organized approach to writing code and a commitment to keeping project files orderly. Readiness to learn about enterprise performance management systems and how they represent financial data. Capability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying connected with the team through virtual channels.
