Description
About Alpine Business Consulting Alpine Business Consulting is a team of specialists who fix enterprise performance management and reporting systems when they stop working as intended. Many organizations invest heavily in complex planning tools only to find that the initial setup was handled poorly. This often leads to finance teams struggling with mismatched numbers and long month-end closing cycles. We step in to reconfigure these systems or build fresh solutions that actually work. Our approach is built on transparency, clear documentation, and a commitment to providing a single source of truth that finance departments can rely on every day. We are currently supporting a Berlin-based technology partner on a project focused on stabilizing their reporting infrastructure. This involves ensuring that their data flows correctly from source systems to the user interface. We prioritize reliability over trends, making sure that our clients can maintain their systems long after we have finished our work. About the role We are looking for an Associate Frontend Developer to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This is an entry-level position where you will focus on building and maintaining the interfaces that our clients use to interact with their financial data. Because we are a fully remote company, you will work from your own environment while staying closely connected with our senior consultants through digital tools. We do not maintain physical offices, so you should be comfortable managing your time and tasks independently. Your primary goal in this role is to help us turn complicated datasets into clear, usable dashboards and reporting tools. You will not just be writing code: you will be learning how to present information in a way that helps business leaders make decisions without confusion. This is a paid position, and we offer a competitive rate that is attractive for an entry-level developer in today's market. What you will be doing In this role, your daily tasks will involve a mix of development, testing, and documentation. You will help bridge the gap between back-end data and front-end presentation. Your responsibilities include: Developing functional user interface components using modern Javascript frameworks like React or Vue. Translating design mockups into clean, accessible HTML and CSS that works across different browsers. Connecting front-end components to APIs to ensure that live data is displayed accurately. Writing clear documentation for every feature you build so that client teams can understand how to manage the system themselves. Participating in code reviews to learn from senior developers and ensure our standards for clean code are met. Assisting with the configuration of reporting dashboards to ensure they meet the specific needs of finance professionals. Identifying and fixing bugs in the user interface to maintain a smooth experience for the end user. Ensuring that all data visualizations remain consistent with the single source of truth established in the back-end. What we are looking for We need someone who is curious, technically minded, and ready to learn the specifics of enterprise consulting. While this is an entry-level role, we expect a solid foundation in web development basics. We are looking for the following: A basic understanding of Javascript, HTML, and CSS gathered through personal projects, studies, or bootcamps. Familiarity with at least one frontend framework, such as React, Vue, or Angular. The ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in writing, as documentation is a core part of what we deliver to clients. A high attention to detail, especially when it comes to how data is presented and labeled on a screen. A willingness to follow established coding standards rather than trying to reinvent the system with every task. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting. A focus on building tools that are functional and reliable rather than just visually impressive. What the role offers Working at Alpine Business Consulting means you will be learning from people who have spent years in the trenches of enterprise implementations. We do not use client projects as a training ground for our seniors, but we do value bringing in junior talent to support the broader mission of fixing broken systems. You will get to work on real-world problems for significant companies, such as our current Berlin-based technology partner, and see the impact of your work immediately. We provide a straightforward working environment where quality is valued over flashy presentations, and we ensure you have the tools and mentorship needed to grow your technical skills. At Alpine Business Consulting, our focus is on the long-term health of our clients' systems. We provide fixed-price quotes and emphasize a clean handover process. This means our developers are expected to take pride in documentation and configuration guides as much as the code itself. We believe that a job well done is one where the client is left with a reliable tool and the knowledge to use it independently. As you grow in this role, you will gain a deep understanding of how technical solutions support business performance and how to build software that stands the test of time. ,workplace_type:
