Job Description Join LEC AI as an AI Founding Engineer to build Bishop, a foundation model for structured data, and Donnie, an agentic orchestration layer. You will write production code daily, making high-stakes architectural decisions that power diverse applications across energy trading, sports markets, and risk pricing, while leading a small, elite engineering team. Location London, UK Why this role is remarkable You will build foundation models (Bishop) and agentic systems (Donnie) from the ground up, moving beyond generic LLMs into high-value structured data. What You Will Do Develop and ship production-ready code for Bishop's training pipelines or Donnie's multi-agent memory architecture every week. Architect the model serving infrastructure and data pipelines that handle real-world operational signals, prices, and time-series data. Lead and mentor a small, high-performance engineering team while working directly with the Group CEO on technical strategy. The ideal candidate Approximately 8 years of experience building production systems at elite AI labs like DeepMind or OpenAI, or top-tier quantitative trading firms like Citadel. Deep technical expertise in foundation model fine-tuning, multi-agent orchestration, or low-latency distributed systems with a strong academic background from a leading institution. A builder mindset with recent hands-on experience; you are an exceptional engineer who prefers shipping code over sitting in management meetings. Who are Jack & Jill? Ok, I'll go first.
