Description

Title: Data Analyst - Banking Domain Location: Sydney Contract: 6 Months Must have : Banking background Data, analytics & transformation expertise • Extensive experience delivering data analytics within large scale transformation, regulatory, or technology uplift programs. • Strong hands on capability across SQL, Python, Excel and data visualisation (Power BI / Tableau) • Proven experience in source to target mapping, data profiling, reconciliation and analysis of end to end business processes and data flows • Experience with Teradata as well as experience with Consumer and Business Banking products and services. • Deep understanding of data structures, state models, data lineage and knowledge/familiarity with statistical methods of data analysis. • Strong knowledge of data quality dimensions (completeness, validity, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, integrity, reliability, timeliness) and how to embed them within analytical pipelines • In terms of experience, 5 years within DA/BA or related roles. • Required educational requirements, aspirant should have bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance or statistics/mathematics, information systems, data science, certifications (optional but valuable), etc. Delivery, governance & ways of working • Experience producing high-quality documents, data dictionaries, test cases, reconciliation logic, and operating model documentation • Ability to write clean, modular, performance-optimised SQL, aligned to engineering standards and industry best practices • Strong Git / Bitbucket capability, including branching strategies, pull requests and disciplined code review • Comfortable working within agile delivery models, partnering effectively with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Engineers and SMEs Mindset & behaviours • High levels of curiosity, ownership, and initiative, with a proactive approach to surfacing risk and improving outcomes • Comfortable operating in fast paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities • A positive team contributor who uplifts others, shares knowledge and contributes to a strong delivery cultur
