By enabling faster turnaround times for critical cases, Path-iQ aims to make cancer diagnosis more rapid, accessible, and consistent regardless of location. The team is building the infrastructure layer for the future of pathology, where digital workflows and AI-driven insights contribute to better clinical outcomes. Role Description As a Frontend Developer at Path-iQ, you will design and implement user-facing features for the company’s web platform, ensuring intuitive interfaces and smooth interactions for pathology and laboratory users. You will translate product requirements and UX designs into clean, maintainable code, optimize applications for performance and accessibility, and ensure consistency across devices and browsers. Day-to-day work includes collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, integrating frontend components with APIs, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to UI/UX improvements based on user feedback. This is a remote contract role, requiring effective communication, reliable availability, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar) and component-based architecture. Candidates should possess Web Development skills, including HTML, CSS, and client-side scripting for building robust, user-focused interfaces. Candidates should possess Responsive Web Design skills to create layouts that work seamlessly across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including version control (Git), testing practices, and debugging techniques for high-quality code delivery. Candidates should possess a working understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts sufficient to integrate APIs and collaborate effectively with backend engineers. Relevant experience with cloud-based applications, RESTful APIs, and security best practices in web development is beneficial. A background in healthcare, medical imaging, or data-intensive applications is a plus, as is prior experience in AI-powered or SaaS platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
