Web Development Internship

JHC Consulting is looking for a Web Development Intern to support our advisory practice during an active engagement for a major Austrian logistics firm. This firm is expanding its operations, and our role is to provide the counsel required to manage that growth effectively. This position is fully remote and operates within a firm that prioritizes the discipline of the written word over conventional corporate ceremonies. We are looking for an individual who views web development as a tool for clarity and structure, helping us maintain the digital platforms through which our mandates are delivered. The Role In this role, you will focus on the technical implementation and maintenance of the digital environments where our counsel is stored and accessed. Because we do not use presentation slides, our digital presence must be clean, functional, and highly readable. Your daily work will involve refining internal tools used for document management and ensuring that our research data is presented clearly to the clients we serve. You will spend time coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to improve the user interface of our advisory portals, ensuring that the reading experience for a board member or executive is as focused as possible. You will also assist in the documentation of technical processes, ensuring that every digital change is noted and justified with the same rigor we apply to our signed memoranda. What You Bring We require a candidate who possesses a solid understanding of front end web development, including HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript. While this is an entry level role, we value an intellectual maturity that goes beyond technical skill. You should have an interest in how information is structured and a belief that a well built website is a reflection of clear thinking. You must have strong writing skills, as every member of our firm is expected to contribute to the internal record. An ability to read through complex requirements and translate them into functional web components is essential. We look for individuals who are comfortable working independently and can manage their own technical tasks without constant supervision. Previous experience with version control systems like Git is helpful but not mandatory for a candidate willing to learn our specific workflows.
