Junior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and software deployment. You will work alongside experienced engineers to help maintain development environments, support deployment processes, and learn industry best practices in DevOps and infrastructure management. Key Responsibilities Assist in maintaining development, testing, and production environments. Support software deployment and release processes. Help monitor system performance, availability, and application health. Assist in configuring and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure. Learn and support CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) pipelines. Troubleshoot basic infrastructure, deployment, and application issues under supervision. Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and system administrators. Assist in maintaining infrastructure documentation and operational procedures. Help automate routine tasks using scripts and DevOps tools. Follow security, backup, and system maintenance best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, and computer systems. Familiarity with Linux or Windows Server fundamentals. Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus. Understanding of version control systems such as Git. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn new technologies and DevOps practices. Preferred Skills Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Basic understanding of Docker or Kubernetes. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts using tools like Terraform is an advantage. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms. Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
