Description

Tech Pipeline is looking for a Junior Web Developer to help us remove friction from complex business processes. Our work focuses on fixing the technical gaps that keep teams from working efficiently, often supporting our partner, a leading provider of global supply chain infrastructure. We stop the data from going bad and ensure info moves correctly between systems without manual intervention. About the role This role exists because large companies often have a broken middle in their operations. When a business grows faster than its tech stack, data gets lost, approval chains get stuck in email, and teams end up reconciling spreadsheets by hand. You will help us bridge the gap between the tools a company already owns and what they actually need to get done. This is a full-time, permanent position that is fully remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive. You will spend your time looking at the ground truth of how data flows, identifying specific routing rules that are failing, and building small, concrete fixes that make an immediate difference for the people doing the work. What you will be doing Reading server logs to trace where data transfers are failing or getting stuck. Updating routing rules in internal business tools to ensure requests go to the correct department. Writing and testing simple scripts to automate manual data entry tasks. Checking data integrity between front-end interfaces and back-end databases. Building and maintaining small internal dashboards so operators can monitor their own backlogs. Sitting with end-users via screen share to see exactly how they move information between different tools. Documenting technical fixes so the client team can manage the system once we finish the project. Participating in site audits to identify why finance and operations numbers are not matching up. What we need from you A basic understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The ability to read and follow logic in scripts written in languages like Python or Ruby. Strong writing skills and the ability to explain technical problems in plain English. A curious mindset that enjoys digging into a log file to find a specific error. Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment without constant supervision. High attention to detail when comparing two different sets of data for accuracy. A practical approach to problem solving that favors simple fixes over complex new systems. Helpful background Previous experience in a customer service, logistics, or operations role. Familiarity with basic SQL queries or how databases are structured. Exposure to common business software like Jira, Zendesk, or ERP systems. Personal projects or boot camp experience that shows a hands-on interest in web development. What the role offers Practical experience fixing real-world technical problems for large-scale operations. The flexibility of a permanent, fully remote work arrangement. A salary that is competitive for an entry-level developer in this market. Direct mentorship from experienced developers who value technical reality over abstract theory. A work environment that focuses on getting things done rather than internal politics. The chance to see how global companies function behind the scenes. Working at Tech Pipeline We avoid the typical corporate cycle of endless meetings and long slide decks. Our communication is built around clear documentation and concise weekly updates. We believe that if a problem is well-defined, the fix is usually straightforward. We spend our time opening the system and reading the logs rather than discussing high-level frameworks. When we finish a project, we stay through the first month of live operation to make sure the fix sticks, and then we move on. Our goal is to hand over a system that the client can run on their own. We value people who are direct, technical, and more interested in the actual code than in broad strategy. By keeping our focus on the technical reality of how work moves, we ensure that every fix we implement provides lasting value to the operators who use it.
