About The Role The Software Engineer II - Front End position is a vital role within our Federal Civilian business unit, supporting high-profile clients such as NASA, GSA, HHS, and the Library of Congress. This remote role involves designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing applications that adhere to federal standards and best practices. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, QA specialists, and UX designers to deliver complete, accessible, and high-quality digital solutions. You will be responsible for translating Figma designs into functional interfaces using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring that all implementations meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Your work will contribute to the modernization of legacy systems, the development of reusable components, and the enhancement of user experience across government digital services. Participation in Agile ceremonies, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are integral aspects of this role. You will also support on-call rotations and engage in peer code reviews to uphold code quality and best practices. Qualifications 3+ years of relevant engineering experience or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent additional experience Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular for modern web application development Experience implementing UI designs from Figma or similar design tools Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright Understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and their application in frontend development Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git/GitLab Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-disciplinary teams in an agile environment Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation Responsibilities Develop and maintain user-facing web applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, translating designs from Figma into functional interfaces Create and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks to ensure UI workflows are robust and reliable Ensure frontend components meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards in collaboration with UX and accessibility teams Debug, optimize, and monitor application performance across test and production environments Participate in peer code reviews, adhering to the four-eyes principle to maintain high code quality Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, and UX designers to deliver complete features from story refinement through deployment Contribute to the development and maintenance of Design System components to ensure consistency across projects Support on-call duties as needed and develop cross-functional knowledge through paired programming and team collaboration Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives Benefits Company-subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance Flexible paid time off (PTO) policy 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions Paid parental leave after one year of service Employee Assistance Program providing support for personal and professional well-being Equal Opportunity Ad Hoc LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
