Sr. Functional Tester

Summary Sr. Functional Tester Job Summary (List Format) Verify quality of requirements, test design, test scripts, test data, automation, and test environment configurations. Coordinate test planning and strategy with product owners, QA leads, and project managers. Develop and provide UAT training to project team members and stakeholders. Interact with test tool vendors to optimize testing tools for the project. Stay updated on latest testing approaches, tools, and share knowledge with the team. Review and validate tester results and defect reports. Attend and facilitate testing meetings with project stakeholders. Generate summary reports and communicate defect metrics as needed. Participate in defect triage meetings, assign defects, and coordinate resolution with development teams. Follow up on defect fixes and retesting estimates with Development Leads and Testers. Maintain the Test Traceability Matrix for all test procedures and requirements. Manage the intake and closeout process for projects, ensuring stakeholder sign-off and documentation completeness. Test API integrations and ensure technical requirements are met. Maintain and manage testing documentation throughout the project lifecycle. (Nice to have) Experience with Azure DevOps, Python, C#, Postman, GitHub. Other Requirements Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to attend in-person interviews in New York, NY (local candidates only). Strong communication and coordination skills. Utility or Energy sector experience is a plus, but not required.
