Junior Software Developer (Web & Mobile)

Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Junior Software Developer (Web & Mobile) Job Type: Full Time Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Role You will work directly alongside senior engineering staff, gaining rare, hands-on exposure to the entire technology stack. Have an opportunity to become a true “Full Stack” developer early in your career and work in an environment that prioritizes code quality, refactoring, and minimizing technical debt. Frontend Development Concept: Building responsive, modern user interfaces. Our Stack: TypeScript, Angular/React, Node.js, and NPM. Goal: You will learn how to translate requirements into functional web components and manage state effectively. Backend Development Concept: Writing maintainable, scalable server-side code using Dependency Injection (DI) and Inversion of Control (IoC) patterns. Our Stack: C# (.NET Core), Java, or Kotlin. Goal: You will learn to write clean code, refactor for performance, and manage data via MySQL and AWS. Mobile Development Concept: Native application development and lifecycle management. Our Stack: Swift, SwiftUI, and package management via SwiftPM. Goal: You will transition from web logic to mobile constraints, with opportunities to explore Core frameworks (UIKit, Core Data). Requirements Graduate / Entry Level Generalist with a strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals. Experience with Source Control Management (Git). Exposure to Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Ability to read or understand Objective-C (for legacy support). Previous exposure to Android/Java environments. Logical problem-solving and the ability to grasp new concepts quickly. A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design patterns The ability to articulate technical challenges and ask questions when blocked. A genuine willingness to switch contexts between backend logic, frontend interfaces, and mobile applications Viewing of a portfolio either online or soft copy is desirable.
