Role: AWS Java Full Stack Developer Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Java Full Stack Developer/Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications while contributing to full-stack development in an Agile environment. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS services, CI/CD, test automation, and modern software engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based full-stack applications using Spring Boot and AWS services. Build cloud-native applications leveraging AWS Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift, and related AWS technologies. Develop REST/SOAP web services and integrate enterprise applications. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing using GitHub/GitLab, JUnit, SonarQube, and Agile development practices. Work with J2EE technologies including Hibernate, Servlets, JMS, JDBC, JNDI, and EJB. Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance applications following TDD/BDD methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, AWS Cloud, and full-stack development. Hands-on experience with Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift, and other AWS services. Experience with GitHub/GitLab, SonarQube, JUnit, and CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Oracle/SQL, MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XSLT, JAXB, HTML, JavaScript, and J2EE technologies. Knowledge of application security, encryption, JAAS, role-based security, and secure coding practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong understanding of the complete SDLC.
