This is a rare chance to shape a consumer AI product at a formative stage What You'll Do Own features end-to-end across the stack, from native desktop UI through backend services Build and refine LLM-powered features that feel native, fast, and reliable, not bolted on Work deep in Electron, alongside native Windows (C++) and macOS (Swift) surfaces Partner closely with design and product to ship things people genuinely love using Take real ownership, no task too small, no layer between you and the user The Team A small, lean group of builders who move fast and care intensely about quality. Type A in the best sense: obsessive about detail, proud of shipping polish, and all rowing in the same direction. You'll be expected to have a spike, something you're genuinely deep in and passionate about, whether that's AI, backend architecture, or native app development The role is in-office in San Francisco. They want people who are excited specifically about what they're building, not just looking for the next AI job What They're Looking For 5-10 years of full stack engineering experience, backend leaning Product-oriented experience owning features end-to-end at a high-growth startup or a big tech company where you built something real Strong TypeScript and Node.js, plus React on the frontend Swift and/or C++ experience, Electron experience is a big plus Genuine excitement for AI and consumer product, not just technical interest Former founders or early-stage startup builders are a strong fit What They Offer $200K-$300K base salary plus: Ground-floor seat on a consumer AI product with real, growing usage Small, high-caliber team where your work is highly visible Direct ownership of product areas from day one Visa: sponsorship available for OPT, TN, and H-1B transfers A genuine shot at shaping a category-defining consumer AI app
