Analyst, Quality Assurance – Jewelry

Job Summary Inspect jewelry to ensure all quality standards are met; communicate defects, suggest solutions and improvements; provide additional support in processing repairs, as well as provide departmental administrative support. Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities Inspect and review the construction and assembly of manufactured jewelry as well as evaluate diamonds, colored stones and pearls to ensure that all quality standards are met. Conduct testing as specified. Confirm that all components are accurate and function properly. Confirm laser inscriptions where applicable. Identify manufacturing defect trends; work with QA management to recommend solutions and product improvements. Knowledge of raw materials such as castings and findings. Administrative tasks include but are not exclusive to inspection processing, related inspection documentation, departmental reporting, inventory analysis and product condition tracking. Job Qualifications 5-10 years‘ jewelry inspection experience Graduate Gemologist required, FGA a plus Must know how to operate Lica Microscope Solid written and verbal communication skills Knowledge in Microsoft publisher preferred Knowledge of Photoshop preferred Capable of multi-tasking; ability to manage small projects Bench jewelry/manufacturing knowledge a plus
