Role Description VIDA Capital is hiring a Consumer Analyst in the Greater New York area to work directly with the CIO. The ideal candidate has 4-6 years of experience across some combination of HF/LO/SS/IB, with Consumer coverage strongly preferred. The role is intentionally flexible, with a clear path to owning dedicated sectors and sub-sectors over time Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining detailed financial models and investment theses Conducting primary and secondary research, including industry analysis, channel work, and expert conversations Monitoring portfolio positions, earnings developments, and key industry trends Preparing investment recommendations and presenting findings directly to the CIO Contributing to portfolio construction discussions, position sizing, and risk management Continuously refining investment frameworks and research processes Qualifications 4–6 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, asset management, hedge funds, private equity, or a related investment role Consumer sector experience strongly preferred Demonstrated passion for investing and public equities Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills Ability to independently develop differentiated investment insights Exceptional work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment Bachelor's degree required; CFA designation or advanced degree is a plus What We Offer Direct mentorship and daily interaction with the CIO Meaningful responsibility from day one Exposure to all aspects of the investment process, including portfolio construction and risk management Opportunity to develop sector ownership and long-term career growth within the firm Competitive compensation aligned with performance and contribution
