Principal Full Stack Engineer

Principal Full Stack Engineer Location: Galway We are seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing Agile engineering team developing modern web applications and microservices that support large-scale investment and portfolio management platforms. As a technical leader, you will play a hands-on role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions while guiding engineering best practices across the team. You'll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Tech Leads, and fellow engineers to build high-quality, customer-focused applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and REST APIs. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance. Drive engineering excellence through testing, code reviews, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile delivery practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software. Skills & Experience 10+ years' experience in software design and development. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular (RxJS), REST APIs, Oracle SQL/PLSQL . Experience with Agile development, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices. Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, Cypress, Karate, or Storybook is an advantage. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Experience in financial services or investment management is beneficial but not essential. Proven experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving technical direction across Agile development teams.
