IT Operations & Security Engineer (Junior/Intermediate)

At ENFOR, we build advanced forecasting solutions for renewable energy, helping energy companies operate smarter in a green energy system. Our platforms run 24/7 and are critical to customers and the green transition across the world. We’re now looking for a hands-on team member to help us keep everything running smoothly and securely day-to-day. What you’ll work on This role is about keeping systems healthy, secure, and under control . You will: Maintain and patch our Linux server fleet Handle security vulnerabilities on Windows laptops and internal systems Monitor logs, alerts, and system health, and act when needed Solve day-to-day IT and service requests from colleagues Support and maintain core infrastructure (servers, M365, networking) Help with ISO27001-related tasks (e.g. documentation, follow-ups, controls) What this role is (and isn’t) ✅ Very hands-on and operational ✅ A mix of IT support, sysadmin, and security hygiene ✅ Important for keeping a production environment running 24/7 ➡️ Not purely DevOps engineering or project-driven work ➡️ But you will have opportunities to automate and improve things About you You don’t need to know everything, but you enjoy getting things done. Some experience with Linux systems (or strong interest) Interest in IT security, patching, and system hardening Comfortable working through tasks, alerts, and checklists Structured and reliable, you follow things through Curious and motivated to improve how things are done Bonus (not required): Scripting (bash / Python) Experience with monitoring tools or automation Familiarity with cloud or hosting environments What you’ll get A key role in running a real production platform Exposure to security practices and ISO27001 Ability to grow into automation / DevOps / security roles A small, skilled, and informal team (Hungary + Denmark) Flexibility between office and home Why this role matters This is the role that keeps the company running every day.
