Description

Our client, a major information & analytics company, is looking for a Manual QA Tester to join their team. This is a fully remote position , however the candidate must be located in PST and willing to work PST Business hours. *** This begins as a 6 month contract, with an opportunity to extend or convert to FT at any time *** We’re seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for our security product to help ensure the reliability, accuracy, and usability of our digital identity verification platform across web, API, and mobile experiences. This role will work closely with QA, product, delivery, and engineering teams to migrate customers from their existing version to our latest version. In doing so, the QA Tester will validate end-to-end customer flows and identify regressions or deviations from previously defined configurations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable using tools such as Postman and JavaScript-based automation to help maintain high-quality releases for a platform that supports document verification, biometric/liveness checks, fraud detection, and global customer implementations. Core Responsibilities Execute comprehensive test cases under varying conditions to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of products. Ensure consistent test coverage and quick identification of regressions. Collaborate with the product team to thoroughly test new features and existing software components, helping ensure high-quality product releases. Document, analyze, and evaluate test results, identifying discrepancies between expected and actual behavior. Detect, log, and report software bugs and glitches using standardized tools and procedures, ensuring clear and actionable reports. Track and verify defect resolutions, assisting developers and engineers in reproducing and troubleshooting issues efficiently. Participate in regular QA and cross-functional meetings, sharing test outcomes, identifying risks, and helping plan future testing strategies and tasks. Required Skills Demonstrated ability to find nuanced differences or anomalies through testing of software systems. Working knowledge using Postman to test APIs. Understanding of browser-based web applications and HTTP lifecycles. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional teamwork and critical thinking skills. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Intermediate technical skills using mobile devices, including iOS and Android, and desktop platforms, including macOS and Windows, for mobile application testing. Ambition to quickly learn new skills with guidance, such as testing webhooks.
