About Presurgeo   Presurgeo is an early-stage MedTech startup on a mission to transform orthopedic care. Our flagship product, SkeletonPlanner, automates 3D bone geometry analysis and surgical planning, turning hours of manual work into minutes.     We're looking for a hands-on AI/ML Engineer who wants to build technology that surgeons actually use. You'll be at the core of our next-generation products, working on models that intersect computer vision, 3D geometry, and clinical integrity. You'll work closely with the Head of Engineering, Chief Product Officer and Clinical Lead to develop and deploy clinically reliable new models in our cloud-based products. The AI / ML Engineer will report to the Head of Engineering.     Key Responsibilities   Develop and maintain algorithms for orthopedic bone analysis on CT and x-ray   Research literature, implement and modify deep learning and computer vision algorithms based on product requirements   Collaborate with backend/cloud engineers to bring ML models into production on Microsoft Azure   Unit test development   Design, implement, and test complex data pipelines to support training and clinical validation of algorithms   Create technical documentation about the algorithms and design intuitions   Analyze and collect insights from the complex medical data     Qualifications   Strong experience with PyTorch and deep learning model training/evaluation   Understanding of image processing fundamentals: registration, segmentation, data augmentation   Famili arity with generative deep learning, specifically GAN architectures (Pix2Pix, CycleGAN), encoder-decoder networks, diffusion models   Experience working with medical imaging file formats (NIfTI, DICOM)   Background in medical image analysis (CT, X-ray) or 3D computer vision   Ability to read and implement techniques from research papers   Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, SimpleITK or similar)   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field   Ability to work in collaborative, hybrid MedTech teams with the ability to execute independently      Nice to Have   PhD, or equivalent hands-on research experience in generative/3D deep learning (publications, thesis, or shipped research)   Experience with 3D shape reconstruction or 3D mesh processing   Experience with Azure ML or similar cloud ML platforms   Background in orthopedic or musculoskeletal imaging   Experience in a medical device or regulated environment (FDA, CE)     Tech Stack   Python, PyTorch, NumPy, SciPy, SimpleITK, 3D Slicer, Azure GPU VMs (NC-series), Git/GitHub, Jira     What we offer   Chance to make a real tangible impact in healthcare   Work on state-of-the-art AI technology   Work in a fast-paced environment with a motivated and fun team!   Hybrid work model – office in Amsterdam and work from home   Laptop    Market conforming salary     If you're interested in joining an awesome team, we’d love to hear from you!
