Middle Data Engineer

This is you 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in production environments. Strong Python skills including application and backend development. Solid understanding of data modeling, partitioning, and schema evolution. Proficiency in SQL for data transformation and querying. Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred). Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes). Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred). Strong communication and documentation skills in English. Nice-to-have skills: Knowledge of data pipelining and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Step Functions). Understanding of data quality and observability tools. Familiarity with machine learning workflows (MLFlow, Feature Stores). Experience with API development (FastAPI, Flask). Awareness of FinOps or cost-efficient cloud architecture design. This is your role Participate in architecture discussions, performance tuning, and cost optimization. Design and implement robust data pipelines and backend applications in Python and SQL. Build and maintain data infrastructure (storage, compute, orchestration) using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Develop and deploy ETL/ELT jobs to transform and enrich data from multiple sources. Work with cloud-native tools (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially services like S3, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB (or equivalents). Apply best practices for CI/CD, testing, observability, and data governance.
