Description

Who You Are You're a recent college graduate who's hungry to prove yourself. You're ambitious, coachable, and used to moving fast. You don't need everything spelled out for you; you dig in, ask good questions, and figure things out as you go. You've never worked in automation and controls, and that's fine. What matters is that you're a problem solver at your core. You believe that with time, persistence, and the right people around you, you can learn just about anything. You're drawn to regulated industries like life sciences, where getting the details right actually matters and sloppy work isn't an option. You may not have direct experience with documentation, testing, or traceability yet, but the idea of working somewhere that takes those things seriously appeals to you. You want to be around engineers who know more than you do, and you want to learn from them quickly. You take pride in doing careful work, and you want to be part of a team that solves real problems and keeps integrity at the center of everything. Who We Are Sipe Solutions is a people first industrial automation company based in Pittsboro, North Carolina. We help life sciences and manufacturing clients design, build, and support automation systems that are reliable, compliant, and built to last. Our team is made up of engineers who care about doing good work and doing right by people. We focus on honest communication, strong technical execution, and helping our clients succeed long after the project is over. We're growing fast, but we're intentional about how we grow. We believe in supporting each other, staying grounded, and delivering work we can stand behind. At Sipe Solutions, people come first, both the people on our team and the people we serve. What You'll Be Doing We're not expecting you to walk in the door knowing automation and controls. We're going to teach you. As an Entry Level Automation Engineer, you'll be paired with experienced engineers who will train you from the ground up, and your job in year one is to learn as much as you possibly can. You'll shadow and assist on real projects for life sciences and manufacturing clients, from early design through commissioning. Over time you'll start writing basic PLC code on platforms such as Rockwell and Siemens, helping configure HMI and SCADA systems using tools like Ignition or Wonderware, and supporting reviews of control panel designs and vendor submittals. You'll get hands-on time during system integration and troubleshooting, always with a senior engineer close by to guide you. Because our clients work in regulated environments, you'll also learn why documentation, testing, and traceability aren't just checkboxes. Getting the paperwork right is part of getting the engineering right, and we'll teach you both. What we need from you is the hunger to keep up. This is a fast-paced environment, and the engineers you're learning from expect you to ask questions, take notes, and come back the next day a little sharper. If you do that consistently, you'll grow into the role quickly. What's In It for You At Sipe Solutions, we believe people do their best work when they're supported and trusted. We want you to grow in your career, stay healthy, and feel good about the work you're doing. Here's what you can expect: Competitive starting compensation with an annual performance bonus tied to impact and delivery Full health coverage: 100% company paid medical, dental, and vision for employees, and 50% of premiums covered for dependents Retirement contributions with a competitive company match to help you plan for the future Generous paid time off, because time with family and life outside work matter Structured mentorship and hands on training from experienced engineers who genuinely want to see you grow, plus real project exposure in the life sciences and manufacturing space A people first culture that values honesty, collaboration, and treating people right You'll be part of a team that invests in your growth and supports you like family
