Senior Full Stack Java Engineer Backend Toronto, ON (Onsite) 4 days F2F interview required Contract JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Description Senior Full Stack Java Engineer Backend Focused Microservices 4 days a week on site F2F interview required Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Java Engineer with strong expertise in backend development and microservices architecture complemented by solid frontend development experience The successful candidate will lead the design and development of cloudnative scalable secure and resilient enterprise applications with approximately 80 focus on backend engineering and 20 API frontend development This role requires deep technical knowledge of Java Spring Boot distributed systems API design cloud technologies and familiarity with web frameworks such as Angular or React Key Responsibilities Backend Development Primary Focus Design develop and maintain enterprisegrade microservices using Java and Spring Boot Build secure scalable and highly available RESTful APIs and backend services Design eventdriven architectures using Kafka and messaging technologies Develop distributed systems capable of handling high transaction volumes and largescale workloads Implement caching resiliency fault tolerance and performance optimization strategies Design and develop database solutions using relational and NoSQL technologies Integrate with internal and external systems through APIs messaging and service integrations Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues Frontend Development Secondary Focus Develop and enhance web applications using Angular React or similar frameworks Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs Optimize user experience responsiveness and application performance DevOps Cloud Build and support CICD pipelines Deploy and manage applications in Azure AWS or hybrid cloud environments Work with Docker and KubernetesOpenShift for containerized deployments Implement monitoring logging tracing and application observability Technical Leadership Lead technical design and implementation efforts Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards Mentor and guide junior developers Collaborate closely with architects product owners QA teams and DevOps engineers Drive best practices in software engineering security and DevOps Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related discipline 7 years of software development experience 7 years of handson Java development experience 7 years building microservicesbased applications Strong experience designing and developing largescale enterprise applications Experience working in AgileScrum delivery environments Required Technical Skills Backend Technologies Must Have Java 111721 Spring Boot Spring Cloud Spring Security JPAHibernate RESTful API Design Microservices Architecture Distributed Systems Design MavenGradle Messaging Event Streaming Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ preferred Event Driven Architecture Databases PostgreSQL or Oracle or MongoDB or Redis Frontend Technologies Nice to have Angular or React TypeScript or JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 Cloud DevOps Microsoft Azure or AWS Docker KubernetesOpenShift Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Jenkins Monitoring Observability Splunk Grafana Prometheus ELK Stack DynatraceAppDynamics Testing JUnit Mockito Integration Testing Postman Additional Skills DomainDriven Design DDD OAuth2 OpenID Connect JWT API Gateway and Service Mesh CQRS and Event Sourcing Reactive Programming WebFlux Azure Cloud Native Services Experience with highvolume transactional systems
