Description
Director of E-Commerce - Multi- Brand Michael Aram Inc. is seeking a director to own day-to-day operations across the brand’s portfolio of websites, spanning both the Michael Aram and Anabel Aram storefronts in the US and EU. This role carries direct technical and operational accountability for site performance, conversion, and campaign execution — including hands-on fluency with the Shopify codebase and the agency-managed tracking infrastructure that drives advertising and analytics. This is a high-ownership role for someone who treats data accuracy, technical precision, and platform stability as non-negotiable. This position can be at our corporate office, hybrid, or remote. Responsibilities: • Own the customer journey across multiple storefronts (Michael Aram and Anabel Aram), including design, copy, navigation, and FAQs. • Build, deploy, QA, and troubleshoot Email, automations, and segments in Klaviyo (or equivalent platform), with direct accountability for flow uptime and revenue performance for the Michael Aram wholesale channel. • Serve as the day-to-day technical liaison to external Advertising, SEO, and analytics agencies — including direct ownership of event and pixel tracking accuracy (Meta Pixel, GA4, server-side tagging) across all brand properties. • Maintain assortments, collections, cross-sells, and product recommendations across multiple stores. • Own and report KPIs — conversion rate, sell-thru, AOV, margins, cart/checkout abandonment — with the ability to diagnose root causes behind performance shifts, not just report them. • Manage day-to-day operations across both brand storefronts, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and technical risk before they impact revenue. • Maintain a documented change-management process for any modification to tracking, consent management, checkout configuration, or third-party app integrations — no undocumented production changes. • Audit and manage Shopify app integrations and permissions across both stores, including third- party tracking, consent management, and checkout-related apps. Experience: • 5+ years managing Ecommerce operations on Shopify or Shopify+, ideally across multiple storefronts or brands. • Hands-on Email/SMS marketing execution — not oversight, direct build-and-deploy experience in Klaviyo or a comparable ESP. • Direct, hands-on experience managing advertising and analytics agency relationships, including technical sign-off on tracking implementation. • Copywriting for ecommerce and lifecycle marketing. • Applied analytics experience — building and interpreting reports, not just reading dashboards. Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required. • Proven experience running an Ecommerce store on Shopify+, including theme customization and app/integration management. • Working proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid — able to read, troubleshoot, and make direct edits to theme code without escalating routine changes. • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Shopify app integrations and configuration, including installation, permissioning, and removal of third-party apps without leaving orphaned code or broken dependencies. • Direct working knowledge of event and pixel tracking infrastructure — Meta Pixel, GA4, and server-side tagging tools (e.g., Stape, GTM server-side) — including the ability to audit, validate, and troubleshoot tracking configurations independently, not solely through an agency. • Demonstrated ability to act as a credible technical counterpart to external Advertising and SEO agencies — able to evaluate, question, and validate agency-proposed technical changes before they go live. • Proven experience executing and owning Email/SMS campaigns, automations, and segmentation — candidates must be able to speak to specific flows they have built and the results they drove. • Strong working knowledge of analytics tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics) with proven experience reporting on and explaining conversion, sell-thru, AOV, margin, and abandonment metrics. • Experience managing multiple Shopify stores concurrently, with the organizational discipline to track store-specific configurations, integrations, and campaign calendars separately. • High attention to detail and a demonstrated sense of urgency in identifying and resolving technical issues — candidates should be able to describe a specific instance of catching or fixing a technical problem before it caused material revenue impact. • Excellent communication and project management skills, including the ability to clearly document technical changes and decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
