Product Design Engineer

Location: Remote (EST or CST - USA) We're looking for a Product Engineer who combines exceptional product thinking, UX design, and front-end engineering into one craft. This isn't a traditional product designer role or a front-end developer position. We're looking for someone who enjoys discovering problems, prototyping solutions, and shipping polished production experiences themselves. You'll own features from idea to implementation, working closely with product managers and engineers to build products that customers love. What You'll Do Own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and user research to design, development, launch, and iteration. Design intuitive, elegant experiences for complex workflows and data-rich applications. Build production-ready front-end applications using modern web technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar). Prototype quickly, validate ideas with users, and iterate based on feedback. Partner with cross-functional teams to define product direction and prioritize high-impact work. Use AI tools throughout the product development lifecycle to accelerate research, design, coding, testing, and documentation. Build reusable components and contribute to a scalable design system. Deliver high-quality interfaces with a strong focus on accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and usability. Continuously improve the product through experimentation, analytics, and customer feedback. What We're Looking For Experience designing and building production web applications. Strong product intuition with the ability to identify problems worth solving. Excellent visual design, interaction design, and UX skills. Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks such as React and TypeScript (or equivalent). Experience working closely with users to validate ideas and improve products. Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools while applying sound engineering and product judgment. Passion for building thoughtful, high-quality user experiences from concept through launch. Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first environment. Nice to Have Experience with design systems and component libraries. Experience designing enterprise or data-intensive applications. Familiarity with AI-powered products, LLMs, or agent-based workflows. Experience with analytics, experimentation, and product metrics.
