Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, AWS) Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $30 - $130/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10 40 hours/week Role Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Node.js and AWS. Architect and implement scalable microservices across distributed systems. Integrate AI capabilities into backend workflows and product features. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex backend issues to ensure system reliability. Communicate technical concepts effectively through written and verbal collaboration. Requirements Strong experience building production-grade backend applications with Node.js. Strong knowledge of AWS services for deployment, scalability, and monitoring. Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures. Understanding of AI integration within backend systems and workflows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership in a remote environment. Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
