Java Software Engineer

Job Title: Java Node.js Developer Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract (W2) Interview Mode – Final round is In -Person Local Candidates only. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain middle-layer services using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, and/or C#/.NET Build and support APIs and web services that enable integration across web, mobile, and backend platforms Collaborate effectively with PMO, Development, Product Management, Business, Technical Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Network, and Architecture teams Draft and review architectural diagrams, technical specifications, business requirements, and design documents Work within existing technology environments including Java, C++, Linux, Unix, Open-Source Platforms, and SOA Contribute to next-generation solution development by adopting and implementing new technologies Develop robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support business needs Gain a strong understanding of financial products, services, workflows, and organizational structures to recommend effective solutions Mentor junior developers and contribute to team technical growth and best practices Required Qualifications 8+ years of software development experience Strong expertise in software development principles, including: Design patterns Code structure and architecture Continuous integration and deployment Object-oriented programming methodologies Hands-on experience with: Core Java Spring Framework Spring Boot Spring Integration TypeScript Node.js Kafka ActiveMQ Experience with Java server-side technologies such as: J2EE Servlets Experience with development tools such as: Tomcat Maven Hands-on experience in API/Web Services development using: REST SOAP JSON Experience working with at least one relational database such as: Oracle DB2 Sybase Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Strong understanding of API design for extensibility, portability, and performance Preferred Skills Experience supporting mobile or digital platform integrations Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments Ability to work independently while also mentoring and guiding other developers Exposure to financial services technology environments is a plus
