Full Stack Engineer (Early-Stage Startup)

Senior Full-Stack / Mobile Engineer- FutureSelf™ FutureSelf™ is an early-stage identity simulation platform blending AI, personalized audio, and immersive mobile experiences to help people build a deeper relationship with their future self. We already have a working mobile app and an engineering lead in place. We are now looking for a highly capable Senior Full-Stack / Mobile Engineer to help accelerate development, strengthen the product, and take ownership of key parts of the stack. This is an equity-only role at this stage , best suited for someone experienced, self-directed, and excited to contribute to an ambitious early-stage consumer product with meaningful long-term upside. What You’ll Do • Work closely with the founder and current engineering lead to improve, expand, and stabilize the product • Take ownership of specific features, systems, and technical workstreams across backend and mobile • Build, ship, and maintain mobile experiences using Expo / React Native • Support App Store and Google Play releases, updates, debugging, and QA • Integrate AI and voice systems, including ElevenLabs, Gemini API, and other conversational or audio technologies • Improve backend services, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure • Work with Supabase, including Postgres and Auth • Support deployment, monitoring, and system reliability on Google Cloud Platform • Move quickly while writing clean, maintainable, production-ready code Who You Are • 5+ years of hands-on full-stack, backend, or mobile engineering experience • Proven experience shipping mobile apps to the App Store and/or Google Play • Strong command of Python and TypeScript / JavaScript • Experienced with React Native, Expo, and mobile release workflows • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership without needing heavy oversight • Strong at debugging, problem-solving, and making pragmatic technical decisions • Able to collaborate with an existing technical lead while owning meaningful parts of the product • Interested in AI-native consumer products, voice interfaces, and emotionally intelligent technology • Drawn to wellness, creativity, personal transformation, or conscious technology Strong Plus Experience with any of the following is especially valuable: • ElevenLabs or other AI voice/audio platforms • Speech synthesis, voice agents, conversational AI, or real-time audio • Gemini API or other LLM integrations • Supabase / Postgres / Auth • Google Cloud Platform • Expo build pipelines • App Store Connect and Google Play Console • Consumer mobile products involving personalization, audio, or AI What We’re Looking For We are not looking for someone who needs to be managed closely or taught the basics. We are looking for someone senior, capable, and execution-oriented, someone who can come in, understand the product, and own meaningful pieces of development. The right person will work directly with the head of engineering, will help us move faster, improve product quality, and bring technical strength to the team as FutureSelf moves from early product to broader launch.
