Backend Engineer (Python)

Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Python) Type: Contract Compensation: $40 - $120/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize robust backend APIs using Python and FastAPI frameworks. Implement scalable and efficient solutions leveraging AWS cloud services and Kubernetes orchestration. Architect and deploy secure, high-performance real-time systems utilizing WebSockets and message queues. Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technical excellence and innovative solutions. Review and refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, performance, and scalability. Maintain detailed documentation, ensuring clarity for both internal and external teams. Requirements: Have expert-level proficiency in Python with a strong background in backend development. Have in-depth experience with AWS services and cloud-based application deployment. Have hands-on expertise in building APIs with FastAPI and implementing real-time features using WebSockets. Have strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices management. Have a solid understanding of message queues and event-driven architecture.
