Java Backend Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Java Backend Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 annually Responsibilities Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications Create RESTful backend services for critical systems Troubleshoot and debug production issues Develop technical specifications and documentation Participate in on-call rotations for system maintenance Collaborate with Bots & Automation team to build next-gen bot runtime platform Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 7+ years of experience building successful production software systems Strong programming skills in Java Spring Boot with knowledge of multi-threading Expert-level knowledge of Databases (SQL, NoSQL) like Cassandra and MySQL Experience with Data Processing tools like Kafka, Airflow, and Spark Proficient in building REST APIs and debugging microservice applications Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes, with bonus knowledge in NodeJS and Python Benefits Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Access to wellbeing resources and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match Flexible Paid Time Off allowing for work-life balance Generous parental leave and family support services Remote-first work model with flexible collaboration opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
