Applied AI Engineer You turn a business use case into a system that actually runs. At Klayer, you build the agents and agentic products we deploy for our clients, on the Claude ecosystem, from prototype to production. THE ROLE IN ONE SENTENCE You start from a business challenge scoped with an Applied AI Consultant, you design the realistic architecture, then you build and ship the agent that solves it: Cowork, Skills, Plugins, MCP integrations and applications built on the Claude API. AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU'LL DO A client wants to automate a document-heavy process that spans three business tools. You design the architecture with the consultant, develop the agent and reusable Skills, wire an MCP connector into their information system, build the test suite and guardrails that guarantee reliability, then document the delivery so the client and the team can take over. That cycle, from prototype to reliable production, is what you repeat across a variety of use cases. WHAT YOU OWN Design and build agents and agentic products on the Anthropic stack, from prototype to production. Build reusable Skills, Plugins and MCP connectors. Integrate solutions into the client's information system. Assess agent reliability: test suites, guardrails, quality measurement. Document deliveries, and work hand in hand with the Applied AI Consultants. Your deliverables: Agent & Workflow Implementation, Skills & Plugins Library, MCP Integration, Evaluation & Guardrails Suite, Technical Documentation. MUST-HAVE Three to five years in software engineering. Command of Python and/or TypeScript. A fine-grained understanding of LLMs in application: tool calls, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails. Comfort with APIs, systems integration and the MCP protocol. Solid engineering practices: production, testing, security and integration into the information system. French and professional-level English. NICE-TO-HAVE Hands-on practice with Claude Code or an agentic development environment, a strong sense of ownership over deliverables, and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
