Senior Software Engineer (React/UX) / Hybrid / $150k-$175k

Title: Senior Frontend Engineer, Design Systems and Data Experience Location: Boston, MA (hybrid, three days onsite) Employment type: Full time About the company Our client is a venture backed startup that turns a flood of messy signals into decisions people can act on. AI and human analysts filter the noise, and the screen is where it all comes together. They're rewriting most of their frontend. They need a senior engineer to decide how that data is shown and to build the system it runs on. What you'll do Rebuild most of the frontend and build the design system it runs on Decide how data is displayed. Every visual choice has a reason, and what stands out matters Prototype quickly, then make the result intentional, not churned out Learn what the current system does and use it as your guide for the rewrite Make dense data clear and accessible for the analysts who rely on it Work with engineers and analysts. Design support is consulting, so you own the decisions What you bring 5+ years of frontend engineering, with closer to 10 ideal Strong React and TypeScript You've built or owned a design system or component library A portfolio of data heavy interfaces, such as dashboards, tables, or investigation views, and the ability to explain why each element is there Rapid prototyping skills and comfort with rewrites and greenfield work Clear communication with engineers, analysts, and product Nice to have Data visualization experience, such as charts or timelines Accessibility experience Experience building tools for analysts or investigators Why this role You'd set the foundation for how the product looks and works A small team where your decisions matter A funded startup with real customers and a clear problem to solve Hybrid in Boston, three days onsite To apply: send your resume and a link to your portfolio.
