Python Team Lead

Position: Python Team Lead / Senior Python Developer Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh Work Mode: On-site Industry: FinTech / RegTech / BFSI Experience: 4+ Years Overall Python Development: 3+ Years Team Lead Experience: 1+ Year Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Python Team Lead with a strong background in FinTech/BFSI applications and financial data analysis. The candidate will be responsible for leading the development team, designing scalable backend systems and APIs, managing AWS deployments, and building solutions around financial data such as Bank Account Statements, Account Aggregator data, MCA reports, ITR, and GST. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with Python development while also being capable of managing developers, conducting code reviews, making architectural decisions, and ensuring timely delivery of production-ready solutions. Key Result Areas (KRAs)1. Python Development & Architecture Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Python. Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience . Build high-performance APIs and data-processing systems. Design clean, maintainable, and reusable application architecture. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, latency, and reliability. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis. 2. Team Leadership Minimum 1+ year of experience as a Team Lead or Technical Lead . Lead and mentor a team of backend/Python developers. Allocate tasks and monitor development progress. Conduct code reviews and maintain coding and engineering standards. Guide developers on architecture, debugging, performance optimization, and best practices. Coordinate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders for timely releases. Take ownership of sprint commitments and technical delivery. 3. Financial Data Analysis Experience The candidate should have hands-on experience working with financial datasets and preferably have worked on multiple areas below: Bank Account Statement Analysis Transaction extraction and categorization Credit/debit analysis Counterparty identification Income/salary identification Cash-flow and financial-behaviour analysis Account Aggregator (AA) Experience working with AA/FIP/FIU data structures. Understanding of financial information received through the Account Aggregator ecosystem. Parsing and processing bank/financial data received through AA. MCA Report Analysis Company and director information Financial information Company filings and related business data ITR Analysis Parsing and analyzing Income Tax Return data. Understanding income, deductions, tax information, and financial indicators. GST Analysis GST return/data analysis. Turnover and filing analysis. Business and financial assessment using GST data. 4. AWS & Deployment Hands-on knowledge of deploying and managing applications on AWS . Experience with services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, ECS/ECR, or similar services. Understanding of production deployment, monitoring, logging, scaling, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization using Docker is preferred. 5. API & Backend Engineering Strong experience in REST API development. Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask . Knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security, rate limiting, and API versioning. Experience integrating third-party APIs and financial data providers. Ability to design APIs capable of handling high-volume transaction processing. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have worked with: Bank Statement Analysis | Account Aggregator | Lending/Credit Underwriting | MCA | ITR | GST | Financial Data APIs | RegTech Preferred Qualifications B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/MCA or equivalent technical qualification. Experience building high-volume FinTech APIs or data-processing platforms. Experience with microservices architecture. Knowledge of Redis, Celery, Kafka/SQS or other asynchronous processing systems. Experience handling large financial datasets. Understanding of security and data privacy requirements in FinTech/BFSI environments.
