Fullstack Software Engineer – Python / React

Join an international engineering team developing software for the aviation industry. The team works on advanced systems and electronic solutions supporting aircraft, including navigation, flight controls, and information systems. The role combines backend and frontend development, with Python and modern web frameworks on the backend and JavaScript/TypeScript and React on the frontend. The team works in a hybrid model in Gdańsk and includes experienced engineers, product owners, UX designers, backend developers, and QA engineers. The work covers the full development cycle, from implementation and testing to delivery, with opportunities to contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and improvements to development processes. Key responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Python and modern web frameworks Develop responsive, accessible, and performant frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React Own features end-to-end, from design and implementation through testing and delivery Build and integrate RESTful APIs Write and maintain unit and integration tests across frontend and backend Participate in code reviews and share best practices with other engineers Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, backend developers, and QA Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and standard branching and merge request workflows Work in Docker-based development environments and collaborate with DevOps/OS teams Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and continuous improvement Ideal candidate profile Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a related technical field Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development Strong experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Experience with React or another modern frontend framework Experience with a Python web framework such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 Experience developing RESTful APIs Experience with relational or non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB Experience with unit and integration testing, using tools such as pytest, Jest, Testing Library, or Cypress Experience with Git and code review workflows Experience with Docker and containerized development environments Knowledge of CI/CD and test automation Experience with Kubernetes or Helm is a plus Understanding of web application security practices, including XSS mitigation, CSP, and secure cookie handling Experience participating in technical design discussions or mentoring other engineers is a plus Experience working in international and multicultural teams Fluent English with strong communication skills Conditions Work model: hybrid in Gdańsk (2xweek) Employment type: UoP Salary: to be discussed depending on experience Benefits: medical care, life insurance, trainings, Multisport card Recruitment steps Phone call with Recruiter Interview with the client (may require 2 rounds) Feedback and decision
