Senior Java Developer / Software Architect

Senior Java Developer / Software Architect Alvacore Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer / Software Architect to help design, build and strengthen secure, reliable and long-lived software platforms. This role is for someone who thinks beyond tickets, challenges weak designs, improves engineering standards and takes ownership of backend architecture, API design, security and production-ready delivery. You will work on systems where stability, security, auditability and maintainability matter. What you will do • Design and implement robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security and Hibernate/JPA • Shape backend architecture, service boundaries, API contracts, integration patterns and data models • Build clean REST APIs with DTOs, validation, error handling, versioning, idempotency and clear status models • Work with authentication and identity integrations such as JWT, SAML2, Azure AD and ADFS • Model and optimize PostgreSQL persistence layers, including transactions, constraints, indexes and performance-critical queries • Contribute to Docker-based delivery, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube quality gates and production readiness • Review code, coach developers and help the team make better long-term technical decisions • Challenge poor designs early and explain technical trade-offs clearly What we are looking for • 10+ years of hands-on Java engineering experience • Strong experience with Spring Boot and enterprise backend systems • Solid knowledge of Spring Security, authentication, authorization and secure software design • Deep practical experience with JPA/Hibernate, PostgreSQL and persistence design • Strong understanding of REST API design, integration patterns and lifecycle thinking • Experience working with Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Harbor or SonarQube • Ability to design maintainable systems, not just deliver short-term features • Strong communication skills and a mature, ownership-driven engineering mindset • Ability to support and guide other developers through code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions Technology stack • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, Maven • Database: PostgreSQL • Frontend collaboration: Angular, TypeScript, NPM • DevOps & Infrastructure: Docker, Jenkins, Harbor, GitHub, SonarQube • Security & Identity: JWT, SAML2, Azure AD, ADFS You will enjoy this role if you • like solving complex backend and architecture problems • care about security, clean APIs, data quality and maintainable software • want your work to survive real production pressure • are comfortable challenging assumptions without ego • prefer sustainable engineering over quick hacks • enjoy helping a team raise its technical standards Nice to have • Experience in banking, insurance, FinTech, HealthTech, public sector or other regulated environments • Experience with OpenAPI, integration testing or architecture documentation • Knowledge of cloud-native deployment patterns • Experience with OpenShift or Helm What we offer • A senior technical role with real influence on architecture and engineering standards • The opportunity to work on secure, business-critical and long-lived software systems • A focused engineering environment with ownership and direct communication • The chance to help shape a growing technology company • Long-term collaboration in a professional and ambitious team How to apply Please apply through LinkedIn with your CV.
